“Spell-A-Thon” on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Holley Court Terrace in Oak Park.

The annual “Spell-A-Thon” raises funds to support LVWCC’s ongoing volunteer literacy services in over 32 communities. Literacy Volunteers provides free one-to-one and small group services for adults who are improving their reading and writing skills, learning English as a new language, or working to obtain their GED. In fiscal year 2009, LVWCC served over 200 adults through its network of volunteer tutors and participating libraries.
